A Bill for Sealing of a Record of Conviction is before the New York State Assembly: A06664

 

The bill provides for a waiting period for certain convictions and authorizes certain agencies to maintain records; records may be unsealed at the time of an arrest; The Bill prohibits publication of sealed records and prohibits the waiver of this sealing provision as condition of a plea.
