Strauss-Kahn is Indicted; Granted Bail

May 23, 2011:  The arrest and prosecution in Manhattan of former IMF Chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn continues to be watched by the international community.  He was released on a $1 million bond late last week and is now under house arrest in Manhattan but faces felony charges for the alleged sexual attack of a maid at the hotel where he was staying. As remarked by NYSACDL President Kevin O’Connell, the case will no doubt hinge in large part on the credibility of the victim.  DNA evidence taken from her clothing has already been matched to Strauss-Kahn who resigned his position last week as head of the International Monetary Fund.  NYSACDL President Kevin O’Connell’s interview with “L’affaire DSK”.
